DESCRIPTION

Proximie is transforming the healthcare market as the only global provider capable of connecting surgeons in real time, with Augmented Reality (AR), data capture, and predictive analytics. The company was founded in 2016 and currently operates out of three hubs (US, UK, and the Middle East) to serve customers across the world.

We are looking for an engineering leader to drive the evolution of our hospital ecosystem. The role will help us deliver our world-class digital platform that delights our customers and positively impacts the surgical landscape, empowering surgical communities worldwide. You will work both across the entire company and across regions and surgical disciplines to ensure the regulatory compliance, and data strategy delivers on what’s best for the surgeon, the patient, and our business partners.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify and design solutions to expand Proximieʹs hospital ecosystem product offering across surgical disciplines and geographies
  • Work with suppliers to deliver off-the-shelf, semi-custom, and fully customer solutions
  • Lead product development through the development lifecycle, collaborating and influencing across all cross-functional stakeholders including clinical, product management, user experience, software engineering, compliance, regulatory and executive leadership
  • Work commercially, gather KPIs, and look at ways we can increase product value
  • Work with the operations team to implement solutions, drive in-field response and ensure delighted surgeons, partners, and hospital stakeholders
  • LOCATION: San Francisco, California – US

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • BA/BS in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of medical device, medtech, and digital health experience
  • Track record of delivering exceptional, compliant regulated products to market
  • Experience with compliance certifications and global regulatory frameworks for medical products
  • Experience with FDA Class I+ medical devices
  • Good communicator with ability to align across many stakeholder groups

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Class II/III medical devices
  • Understanding of telehealth, software and networking
  • Start-up and/or healthcare experience
  • MS in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience with Health IT, Digital Health and/or surgical domain
