GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER, UK

DESCRIPTION

We are a looking for an ambitious can-do Group Financial Controller with a technical mindset who wants to work in the innovative scale-up environment and join our London office. Reporting to our CFO you will play a vital part in Proximie and you will be able to leave your footprint on our group finance roadmap. You will support the CFO and become responsible of certain key finance processes such as our group financial reporting and consolidation process. As our business is growing rapidly, there will be plenty of new and exciting opportunities to learn and develop your skills and you will be working with great colleagues globally.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee day to day Finance function and team
  • Work on monthly and quarterly management accounts including deep analysis to support short and long-term decision making
  • Support the CFO in the annual and rolling budget preparation with analysis, historical financials and liaising with all Department managers
  • Actively forecast and manage cashflow, manage AP and AR to drive working capital efficiency
  • Ensure the Group discharges all its financial, statutory and tax compliance obligations within the required deadlines and support tax compliance, analysis and planning across the Group
  • Nurture and develop the financial processes, policies and procedures in alignment with company growth
  • Optimise the existing accounting systems and prepare for company’s next stage of growth
  • Work with the CFO on investor reporting and fund-raising efforts including ad-hoc analysis and reports

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Relevant bachelor or master’s degree within finance and economics
  • Preferred 4-5 years’ experience from a similar role or a Big Four company and Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
  • The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting and finance operations management experience
  • The candidate will need to demonstrate a flexible and entrepreneurial attitude to work, the ability to work on several significant pieces of work concurrently, and the ability to build relationships at all levels, with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • You should be comfortable working autonomously while coaching your line reports and supporting the CFO and Executive Management team
  • You will have experience and passion for working with owner-managed businesses and scaling-up SMEs but had exposure to large company’s operations and best practices in order to lead in the implementation of a finance team and processes that can manage the expected growth
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, leading audit preparation)
