Job Title
LEGAL COUNSEL, UK

DESCRIPTION

Proximie’s growing in-house legal team works to proactively address legal issues so that Proximie can scale-up its positive impact in the clinical world. As Legal Counsel, you will be a key contributor to both the Legal team and the company as a whole – working as a generalist on every issue Proximie faces. You’ll work closely with the Head of Legal to provide practical advice on a range of legal issues, from negotiating a mix of international commercial and public sector procurement contracts to working on regulatory, data privacy, and employment issues.

As Legal Counsel, you’ll be an expert on the intricate details of the contracts and subcontracts that enable Proximie to expand and develop its mission-driven solution to universalise the best standards of clinical care. Your work will involve partnering with our engineers and sales teams as they expand Proximie’s footprint internationally. In this role, you will take ownership over problems, turning ill-defined objectives into epic outcomes, and work with agility to push deals over the line. You’ll focus on the details, but also have the broader perspective to bring large, multi-phase projects to completion. Each day at work as Legal Counsel will bring a new challenge to take on in support of Proximie’s mission.

  • Proven ability to develop creative solutions to novel issues.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and balance competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexibly on a varied schedule based on the needs of the team, with availability during nights and weekends as needed.
  • Familiarity with technology and software licensing, as well as data privacy laws (including GDPR).
  • Experience drafting and negotiation complex commercial contracts.

  • Flat organizational structure where every opinion matters, ideas are cultivated, and innovation is encouraged.

  • Ranked as one of the UK’s top medical startups.
