Eight NHS hospitals have today launched a large-scale surgical AI evaluation with the aim of treating more patients using their existing theatres and staff.
Under the year-long programme, Proximie’s Intelligence Suite will be deployed across 104 operating theatres, endoscopy suites and catheterisation laboratories at the sites.
Intelligence Suite automatically captures surgical and operational data in the theatre and de-identifies and anonymises it at source. AI models then turn it into real-time operational insight across the operative pathway, to help enable teams to identify bottlenecks, optimise workflows and improve theatre performance.
